Yesterday’s events clearly showed that this conflict can only be resolved through negotiations, he wrote. The politician criticized the approach of European leaders, stating:
Empty moralizing, grandiose speeches, and the reckless warmongering of European leaders have so far only resulted in destruction and death. With Donald Trump's arrival, this era has come to an end in the United States.
He continued:
EU leaders, however, continue to repeat the same empty slogans—hypocritical solidarity, meaningless statements, and endless political posturing. Zelensky still moves among them like a star because the European political elite is incapable of recognizing reality. This war cannot be won, and Ukraine’s future does not lie in the fantasy of NATO membership.
Hidveghi emphasized:
For three years, we have been saying that Ukraine must accept military neutrality because, in Russia’s shadow, NATO membership will remain an illusion. This is the reality. And time is running out. The longer it takes to realize this, the greater the destruction will be. The United States tried to deliver this message yesterday—but for now, it seems to have fallen on deaf ears.
